Lying Miner with Hammer & Chisel, Miniature by Romy Thiel – authentic German folk art for collectors
A distinctive little miner inspired by Ore Mountain heritage
The Lying Miner with Hammer & Chisel, Miniature by Romy Thiel captures a charming moment from the historic mining culture of Germany’s Ore Mountains. Resting on his stomach, the miniature miner appears absorbed in his work. He holds the traditional hammer and chisel in his hands, with the dark tools creating a striking contrast against the warm, natural wood. His friendly painted face features dark eyes, rosy cheeks and a tiny red mouth. Dark brown hair frames his face beneath a light wooden miner’s hat decorated with a small yellow detail. Brown accents on his collar, pants and sturdy boots complete the traditional appearance.
His unusual horizontal pose makes this miniature especially appealing. Although extremely compact, the figure clearly displays its tools, hands, clothing and carefully painted facial features.
